THE PERSON BEHIND HANDCO
Hi, I’m Blake.
Before Handco, I worked in tech, bringing technology solutions to large enterprises. I started Handco to make that same practical leverage useful to trade shops.
Talk through your back office01 / Why I started Handco
I kept hearing the same problem.
In talking with trade owners, I saw businesses in high demand whose days were still swallowed by spreadsheets, paperwork, and repetitive follow-up. The work matters, but too much of it keeps landing back on the owner.
I wanted to bring useful technology to the people doing this essential work, so they could spend more time with customers, their crews, and the work that moves their shops forward.
02 / What should stay human
Make room for the work only people can do.
A technician's skill in the field, an owner's judgment, and a real conversation with a customer are not the parts I want to automate. Those are the parts that make a trade shop valuable.
The copying, checking, and back-office preparation around that work are where AI and automation can help. Handle the repeat tasks well, and people get more time for the expertise and relationships that drive the business.
03 / How I see technology
Useful beats impressive.
I'm passionate about what AI can do, but not the hype around it. I do not want to sell flashy features or give an owner another dashboard to manage. I want to build around the tools a shop already uses and hand back finished work they can actually use.
I'm based in Midlothian and focused on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical shops across DFW. You can see how Handco helps local trade shops, or email me directly at blake@handco.ai.
